Contemporary “cave art”

“Cave art” in a contemporary approach is an art project through which new symbols from our daily life, the area of technology or related to the pandemic are imagined on a typical cave background.

We try to interpret the old Paleolithic symbols. But will the symbols of today still have the same meaning in the future, thousands of years from now?

Update 2026 – for the project More Than Human – Gallery Studio 76.

In recent years, the number of bears has increased in Romania. With their habitat increasingly restricted, due to deforestation, but also to the fact that humans are occupying more and more natural areas, bears are looking for food even in inhabited areas.
Thus, bears have come to kill domestic animals and attack people. There have been several tragic cases in which people who approached bears on the side of the roads in mountainous areas were seriously injured or even killed.
In some cases, bears that caused problems have been relocated to special reserves. People are warned not to interact with bears and not to feed them!

For a very long time, dogs have adapted to the company of humans, as no other species has succeeded. Out of the desire to please their master, the dog was willing to lose its natural freedom and now lives according to the norms of conduct required by humans.
