Usually the seascape is associated with beautiful idyllic images, which are fragments of vacation memories.

But we can see the sea in a completely different atmosphere. Stormy waves, eroded shores, cloudy skies, offshore fog or massive windswept rocks and steep cliffs all add to the dramatic look of the sea.

These watercolors are inspired by seascapes that I have seen at the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea, the Ionian Sea, the Adriatic Sea, the Tyrrhenian Sea, but also the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea or the English Channel.

Tecnique: Lunar Black pigment Daniel Smith watercolor on Lanaquarelle paper, sizes: 76×76 cm, 50×50 cm, 28×38 cm, 19×28 cm, 2022 – 2023.
